In the Natural Sciences class, the 6th grade students became little scientists as they conducted some fascinating experiments on volcanoes. As part of their study of geography and geological processes, the students prepared and brought in a miniature volcano to reproduce the eruption of a real volcano.
Under the supervision of their teacher, they worked in teams to create the structure of the volcano using simple and accessible materials. By mixing baking soda with vinegar, the students achieved a spectacular eruption that simulated the natural process of an active volcano, with lots of foam and bubbles!
This experiment gave them a practical understanding of how volcanic eruptions work, from magma to the release of gases and volcanic materials. It was also an opportunity for the students to learn about the importance of volcanoes in the formation of the planet and in the creation of new landscapes.
Congratulations to our little scientists for their enthusiasm and creativity in this fun and educational project! Thanks to their effort and teamwork, everyone was able to learn in an interactive way about the natural phenomena that shape the Earth.
