During homeroom, 5th grade students worked on creating a very special mural: a large puzzle made up of individually decorated pieces.
Each student received a blank puzzle piece to decorate with their name and a personal design. There was a variety of styles: drawings, colors, symbols… each piece reflects something about the person who made it.
In addition to the pieces with names, others were prepared with keywords representing the values that the students considered important in the class. These included respect, friendship, empathy, tolerance, and patience, concepts that we work on every day and that now also have a visible place in the classroom.
The aim of the activity is simple but meaningful: to create a visual representation of the group, showing that everyone in it has a place and that shared values are a fundamental part of everyday life.
Once assembled, the mural was hung in the classroom. Beyond the visual result, the activity served to reinforce the idea of the group and remind us that, although we are all different, it is possible to live together better if we all contribute and share certain attitudes.
